Los Reyes Magos de Oriente (o simplemente Reyes Magos) es el nombre por el que la tradición denomina a los visitantes que, tras el nacimiento de Jesús de Nazaret, acudieron desde países extranjeros para rendirle homenaje y entregarle regalos de gran riqueza simbólica: oro, incienso y mirra.
En algunos países (normalmente hispanohablantes) existe la tradición de representar a los reyes trayendo los regalos que los niños les han pedido en sus cartas durante la noche anterior a la Epifanía.
Con el tiempo, en países de tradición católica, se adoptó la costumbre de celebrar al mismo tiempo el día de la Epifanía (el 6 de enero) y la festividad de los Reyes Magos, conjugándose así la manifestación de Jesús al mundo no judío con la fiesta de estos personajes que representaban justamente ese mundo de gentiles. Poco a poco, se fue olvidando el significado verdadero de la palabra epifanía y la convirtió en un sinónimo de adoración de los Magos.
El día 6 de enero es festivo en Argentina, España, México, Puerto Rico, Paraguay y Uruguay y en partes de Alemania, en Austria, Croacia, Eslovaquia, Finlandia, Italia, Liechtenstein, Suecia, y en partes de Suiza.
En España, frente a la reciente introducción de Papá Noel en las costumbres navideñas debido a la influencia de la cultura estadounidense y otros países extranjeros, es tradicional que los regalos de Navidad a los niños los traigan los Reyes Magos la noche del 5 al 6 de enero. Antes, los niños deben mandarles una carta a los reyes pidiendo los regalos que quieren así como indicar los méritos por los que se merecen recibir regalos. La noche del 5 de enero los niños deben dejar sus zapatos en algún lugar de la casa. Al día siguiente se encuentran allí los regalos o, en el caso de haber sido malos, carbón en su lugar. El día 6 de enero es festivo en toda España, tiene por tanto consideración de fiesta nacional. También reciben regalos los adultos – madres, novios, novias, padres. Es típico desayunar el Roscón de Reyes que en muchos lugares también se toma la víspera para merendar o como postre de la cena. En España estos roscones suelen contener una figurita navideña.

SHIPPING
Shipping Costs vary from only 1.95 upwards, depending on your location and purchase. FREE SHIPPING is sometimes available on larger orders. All Shipping Options will be visible in your shopping bag/cart when you have added an approximate location or address.
Shipping Method: We ship the first working day after you order. We can ship either Normal Post, or Tracked (which, in some countries, requires a signature on delivery - in which case, if you are not at home, it will be taken to your local Post Office to await your collection).
Shipping Times: We try our hardest to get your order to you as soon as possible - within the limits of reasonable shipping costs. Delivery times vary depending on location. For example: UK: 2 to 4 days (we offer a "Guaranteed 2 work-days max" Option) ; EU: Spain, France, Germany, Ireland, etc: 2 to 3 weeks; Rest of the world: 1 to 2 weeks.
Shipping to EU country? EU Taxes / VAT may apply: The EU may charge VAT on delivery (c. 23% - depending on which Country within the European Union you are sending your order). [This does NOT apply to non-EU countries like UK, USA, Australia, etc] . As an online shop, WE do not charge VAT, so NO VAT is added to any items in our store - they are all VAT-free. However, some EU countries are charging EU-VAT when orders are delivered. So, if you are sending to an EU address, the local Post Office in that European country MAY charge the Recipient EU-VAT (average 23%) on the order when your item is delivered.
GIFT-WRAP and PERSONALISATION
All items are gift-wrapped, and you can write a personal message which we will print on a Gift Card. We can ship direct to you, or to 3rd-parties (ie: direct to friends and loved-ones as a special gift). This is all INCLUDED in the price. We NEVER include a copy of the bill with the shipped gift.
PAYMENT
Our Payment Merchants are PayPal, Stripe and WePay (part of JPMorgan Chase) for Visa and MasterCard. It is NOT necessary to Register / Create an Account with us, NOR to Sign In, to buy anything in our shop.
RETURNS
We stand behind our products 100%. If at any time you are not happy with anything, we'll refund your payment IN FULL - no questions asked. Just re-package the item as received and send it back. You will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs, unless the original item was faulty. Please Contact Us for a Returns Number and use a trackable shipping service to guarantee that we receive your returned item, and tell us the details. We will send you an email to notify you about your refund.
