Se cree que el domingo de mediados de Cuaresma (a finales de marzo) era un día en que, en el pasado, se hacían ofrendas en el altar mayor de la “Madre Iglesia”. Derivado de ello, se inició la tradición por la que los hijos e hijas visitaban a sus padres – y sobre todo para ver a su madre, por lo que se conoció como “Día de la Madre”. De hecho, durante muchos años, este domingo especial estaba reservado para que los niños y jóvenes que viven lejos de sus padres pudieran ir a casa para el día, teniendo presentes una torta para su madre, y compartir una comida con su familia. Este día era particularmente importante para los aprendices, en vivo en los trabajadores agrícolas, y las niñas en el servicio, y en general se aceptó que tenían el derecho a tener el día libre.

After CoronaVirus, we are now shipping all orders from our UK base. This means excellent shipping times to UK addresses . . and to the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand too, although slower times to Spain and the rest of Continental Europe. There are no restrictions on shipping our gifts nationally or internationally.

SHIPPING
Shipping Costs vary from only 1.95 upwards, depending on your location and purchase. FREE SHIPPING is sometimes available on larger orders. All Shipping Options will be visible in your shopping bag/cart when you have added an approximate location or address. Of course, you do not have to proceed and buy - but in any case, you will know the shipping costs to the particular address you have given.
Shipping Method: We ship the first working day after you order. We can ship either Normal Post, or Tracked (which, in some countries, requires a signature on delivery - in which case, if you are not at home, it will be taken to your local Post Office to await your collection).
Shipping Times: We try our hardest to get your order to you as soon as possible - within the limits of reasonable shipping costs. Delivery times vary depending on location. For example: UK: 2 to 4 days (we offer a "Guaranteed 2 work-days max" Option) ; EU: Spain, France, Germany, Ireland, etc: 2 to 3 weeks; Rest of the world: 1 to 2 weeks.
Shipping to EU country? EU Taxes / VAT may apply: The EU may charge VAT on delivery (c. 23% - depending on which Country within the European Union you are sending your order). [This does NOT apply to non-EU countries like UK, USA, Australia, etc] . As an online shop, WE do not charge VAT, so NO VAT is added to any items in our store - they are all VAT-free. However, some EU countries are charging EU-VAT when orders are delivered. So, if you are sending to an EU address, the local Post Office in that European country MAY charge the Recipient EU-VAT (average 23%) on your order when your item is delivered.
GIFT-WRAP and PERSONALISATION
All items are gift-wrapped, and you can write a personal message which we will print on a Gift Card. We can ship direct to you, or to 3rd-parties (ie: direct to friends and loved-ones as a special gift). This is all INCLUDED in the price. We NEVER include a copy of the bill with the shipped gift.
PAYMENT
Our Payment Merchants are PayPal (including Amex), 2CheckOut and WePay (part of JPMorgan Chase) for Visa and MasterCard. It is NOT necessary to Register / Create an Account with us, NOR to Sign In, to buy anything in our shop.
RETURNS
We stand behind our products 100%. If at any time you are not happy with anything, we'll refund your payment IN FULL - no questions asked. Just re-package the item as received and send it back. You will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs, unless the original item was faulty. Please Contact Us for a Returns Number and use a trackable shipping service to guarantee that we receive your returned item, and tell us the details. We will send you an email to notify you about your refund.
