The 1,000-year-old pilgrimage to the shrine of St. James in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is known as the Way of St. James (El Camino de Santiago - in Spanish). Some 2000,000 pilgrims travel to the city each year from all over the world to find inspiration and/or deeper spiritual understanding. Many carry with them a symbol of the St James's Cross like this - believed to keep them safe.

Description: Our large Travellers Shield pendant measures 59mm long including the hanging bail by 32mm wide. It hangs on a strong stainless steel chain which measures 60cm (23.5") long. The stainless-steel shield is highly polished and engraved on the front with our Travellers Cross symbol.
